So, toward the end of the semester, I decided to combine two of the ideas we had kicked around in our meeting: a wiki and a contract. To this, I also prepared a grading rubric in advance so the students knew how they were going to be assessed. Below, I've included the project assignment, contract and grading rubric. The approach worked well with my level one students last semester, so I plan on repeating it this semester. At some point in time, I will duplicate or replicate with a different focus for my level two students. Also, I ran out of time at the end of the semester, but one thing I want to incorporate in the near future is having the students comment on each other's contributions to the project/wikispace.
